This Privacy Policy explains how Sitecrew ("we", "us", "our") processes personal data when you visit sitecrew.io (the "Site") and when you use the Sitecrew platform at app.sitecrew.io (the "Service"). We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Data we collect on this Site

The Site is a marketing website. It has no visitor accounts and no contact forms. We collect only:

  • Anonymous usage events. When you click a sign-up link, we record a first-party, cookieless event containing the event type, the page you were on, and the link label. These events contain no name, no email address, no IP address stored with the event, and no identifier that could single you out.
  • Server logs. Our hosting infrastructure keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and requested URL) for security and reliability. Logs are retained briefly and are not used for profiling.

The Site sets no tracking cookies and uses no third-party advertising or analytics trackers.

2. Data we collect on the Service

When you create an account at app.sitecrew.io we process the data needed to provide the Service:

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and billing details for paid plans.
  • Website content: the text, images, brand assets, and configuration you provide for the websites we build and host for you.
  • Connected integrations: if you connect third-party services (for example Google services for search or advertising data), we access only the data needed for the features you enable, and only with your authorisation. We do not sell this data, and access can be revoked at any time in the third-party service or in the app. Our use of data from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
  • Usage and diagnostic data: actions in the app and technical logs used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

3. Why we process it (legal bases)

  • To provide the Service - performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To secure and improve the Site and Service - our legitimate interests (art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet legal obligations - such as bookkeeping (art. 6(1)(c)).
  • With your consent - where we ask for it, e.g. connecting an integration (art. 6(1)(a)); consent can be withdrawn at any time.

4. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with processors that help us run the Site and Service (such as hosting, payment, and email providers) under data-processing agreements, with third parties you choose to connect, and where disclosure is required by law. Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Retention

We keep personal data no longer than needed: account data for the life of your account and a short period after deletion; billing records as required by bookkeeping law; anonymous Site events indefinitely (they contain no personal data); technical logs briefly on a rolling basis.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise these rights through your account at app.sitecrew.io. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in Denmark, Datatilsynet.

7. Security

We protect personal data with technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed credentials, access controls, and isolated per-site infrastructure.

8. Children

The Site and Service are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its "Last updated" date; material changes affecting the Service are notified to account holders.
